Sudoklu does not generate Sudoku puzzles. Sudoklu helps you to solve Sudoku puzzles that you are playing. When Sudoklu starts, the app displays a blank grid. You must type the given values for the puzzle that you are solving into the grid.

To type given values into the grid:

  1. Tap a square in the grid having a given value in the puzzle that you want to solve.
  2. Tap the given value for the square using the number keypad below the grid.
  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 until you have typed all given values for the puzzle into the grid.

To solve the puzzle, tap the player buttons below the number keypad. Table 1 describes how to use the player buttons.

Player Button Description
Eject—Start solving a new puzzle.
Fast Backward—Jump to the first move that Sodoklu made after you typed all given values OR jump to the beginning of the puzzle history, whichever is closer to the current move. If you jump to Sudoklu's first move, then tap again to jump to the beginning of the puzzle history.
Step Backward—Jump to the previous move in the puzzle history.
Play—Solve the puzzle one move at a time, at the rate of about one move per second.
Step Forward—Make one move towards solving the puzzle OR jump to the next move in the puzzle history.
Fast Forward—Jump to the puzzle solution OR jump to the first move that Sudoklu made after you typed all given values, whichever is closer to the current move. If you jump to Sudoklu's first move, then tap again to jump to the puzzle solution.

A move counter appears in the bottom right corner of the Sudoklu app. When you navigate moves for which you typed given values, the move counter is green and you can modify given values in the grid. After Sudoklu makes a move to help solve the puzzle, the move counter appears black and you cannot edit values in the grid.
